Home Screen App

Foundations isn't in the App Store or Google Play. Instead, you add it to your phone's home screen from your browser. It gets its own icon, opens full screen without the browser's address bar, and shows your clients, sessions and invoices just as the website does.

There's nothing to update: every improvement reaches the app as soon as it's released.

Sign in to Foundations in Safari, then:

1. Tap the Share button. If you can't see it, tap the menu button beside the address bar first: on its left in iOS 27, or ••• on its right in iOS 26.
2. Tap Add to Home Screen. If it isn't in the list, tap View More.
3. If you see Open as Web App, leave it on. Then tap Add.

Open Foundations from its new icon and sign in once more. On iPhone the app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari's.

Chrome on iPhone works too: tap the Share button next to the address bar, then Add to Home Screen.

When Chrome is ready to install Foundations, the card on your Dashboard has an Install button. Tap it, then Install again to confirm.

If you don't see the button:

1. Open Chrome's menu (the three dots next to the address bar).
2. Tap Install and create shortcut (Add to Home screen on some phones), then Install. Choose Install rather than Create shortcut, which only opens a browser tab.

In another browser, look for Install or Add to Home screen in its menu. You stay signed in: the app shares the browser's sign-in.

• Can't find Add to Home Screen? If you opened Foundations from a link in another app, like Instagram, it may be in that app's own browser, which can't add apps. Open usefoundations.app in Safari or Chrome and try again.
• It needs a connection. Without signal, the app shows an offline screen and opens your page by itself when you're back online.
• It stays current. Come back to the app after a while and today's sessions are refreshed.
• To remove it, press and hold its icon and remove it like any other app. Your account and data aren't affected.
